VANCOUVER, BC — Oct 1, 2015 – Payfirma Corp., a Vancouver-based payments company, was named “FinTech Company of the Year” at last night’s Canadian FinTech Awards, part of the annual Digital Finance Conference in Toronto. The award is presented to the Canadian financial technology company that has shown the most entrepreneurial success in the past year.

In May, Payfirma completed a Series A funding round of $13 million – the largest funding round for a Canadian fintech firm this year – bringing its total to $26 million to date.
